Happy New Year 2018 from Pastoral Care

There is a time for everything, and a season

for every activity under heaven:

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Dear Church Family & Friends

The year of 2017 has quickly come and gone. It was a year full of excitement and activity for our small congregation here at St Andrew's Christian Church.

God has been good to us. Where we have lost some of our members moving to residences due to medical reasons, or sadly some who have left this life on earth altogether, God has brought new faces into our flock. Some are searching for answers, some are hungry for the Word and to learn more, some come with special talents to share and some with ready hands to do whatever work that may need to be done.

God has a special place and a function for everyone within this Church Family.

STOP! THINK! PRAY!

What is it that God wants you to do for Him here at St Andrew's Christian Church in 2018?

You might be very surprised at what God reveals to you. Whatever God calls you to do, He will also enable you to do it!

We are all His servants and called according to His purpose.

So, I ask you in this coming year, how will you serve our Lord and Saviour?

Will it be a listening ear, taking cookies to a shut-in, helping out on one of the special Fellowship Event projects, helping clean the church, doing clean-up on a Sunday morning, being a Prayer Warrior, joining the choir or one of so many needed helpers.

I would ask you to come to one of the Church Board Meetings and see how the church functions along with the different levels of leadership and responsibilities.

There is a reason why God has sent you here to St Andrew's Christian Church.

It may be that you have come to grow in your walk with God or it may also be that you have come to help us to grow! We are the clay, and the Lord is still reshaping us all according to His plan.

I look forward to being a part of your Pastoral Care this year. Remember to pray for me as I serve God in this labour of love. I too am a sheep in this flock at St Andrew's Christian Church, in need of direction, support and encouragement. I thank you for your patience with me.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage;

if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him do so generously;

if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy,

let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6a,7-9 NIV

May the Lord Bless you and keep you in His loving care.

Love

     Jean
